This project was commissioned during 2001 as per the wish of late Smt. Suseela Gopalan while she was Minister for Industries in Kerala. The concept behind this project is to rehabilitate the tribal women folk especially the unwed mothers among them. The project was designed to convert the area as a self reliant village predominated by adivasis.
The society started a handloom training centre at Thirunelly during January 2010.
A small showroom is functioning at the Mananthavadi Town.
At present the project is having the following facilities :
